Band 7 Ward Manager - Acute Cardiac Unit We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring leader ! Are you currently in a Band 6 role and looking to develop into a Band 7 ? Look no further; our Acute Cardiac Unit at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage is a 22 bedded ward, newly built in 2014 and offering a light and spacious area to work in. Our Unit delivers care to a wide variety of cardiology patients, we have 2 catheter labs with 11 day case beds attached providing elective and emergency procedures such as 24/7 primary percutaneous coronary intervention for patients suffering heart attacks. There is a strong team of Cardiac Specialist Nurses undertaking nurse led clinics for patients with Heart Failure, Rapid Access Chest Pain clinic, Post MI/PCI clinics, Pre cardioversion assessment clinics and nurse led cardioversion lists and a well-developed cardiac rehabilitation programme. There is a very active research department within cardiology, undertaking many multicenter trials in all areas of the discipline. We can offer you a supportive environment and have great access to our effective leadership programmes within the Trust, we are also encouraging our ward managers to be involved with the RCN leadership programme and the Clinical Accreditation Programme, all initiatives to help you in developing a safe and well-led area of practice.
