Senior Marketing Director, Reuters
Reuters Marketing team is growing! We are seeking a Senior Marketing Director with exceptional communication skills and a passion for marketing to join our team. Reuters is the world's largest multimedia news provider, reaching billions of people every day. The Senior Marketing Director, Reuters is responsible for driving & delivering the Reuters marketing strategy to meet sales and revenue goals. Key areas of responsibility include: * Serve as the "chief of staff," a central coordinating function for marketing activities that leverage pooled resources to run, scale, and operationalize the business more effectively * Partner with the CMO and the Leadership Team on developing a framework to guide the long-term strategic direction of the business * Facilitate connectivity across the Marketing organization and k eep marketing leadership organized and moving forward on key projects and initiatives * Undertake high-value ad-hoc projects for the CMO * Plan, track and monitor the progress of key priorities and strategic initiatives for the Leadership Team * Drive performance accountability through defined marketing metrics and timely reporting processes * Plays a critical role in the Marketing leadership team Accountabilities : * Surface customer needs and map customer journeys * Develop partnerships with relevant companies to meet customer needs * Effectively uses customer insights, competitive intelligence and data/analytics to translate business goals into marketing strategies * Manage the prioritization and deployment of pooled marketing resources to meet the needs of the business (e.g., work-to-flow staffing coordination) * Facilitate reporting on marketing program and overall campaign effectiveness, as well as sales lead distribution * Create regularly updated reports, readouts, and dashboards to monitor Marketing's performance, and share with key business leaders in Marketing and across Reuters * Provide ongoing analysis of Marketing investments, including an evaluation of potential new practices and technologies * Create a feedback loop between key marketing stakeholders * Manage internal communications within the Marketing organization * Facilitate trainings on new marketing processes and technologies * Liaise with business partners in Finance, HR, etc. * Manage essential projects Key Deliverables: * Continuous improvement in the utilization of marketing resources * Accuracy in meeting agreed upon timing for the deployment of marketing resources * Consistent, timely, and transparent measurement of each Marketing function's performance in supporting the successful delivery of business objectives * Development of talent, including skill/capability building, empowerment, and retention Skills & Experience: * Extensive experience as a respected leader of strategy and/or marketing in the Media/Publishing or Content distribution industry * Skilled at conflict resolution, solution selling and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes * Exceptional leadership skills, with deep passion for our customers and entrepreneurial 'can do' approach to business * Highly analytical approach * Experience leveraging customer insights to drive strategy * Extensive experience with project management and marketing performance measurement (i.e., marketing program and campaign effectiveness) * Experience with building dashboards and reports tracking key marketing metrics * Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting; strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship-building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization * Exceptional leadership skills, with a deep passion for talent development and leading through change * Experience in matrixed organizations and ability to influence stakeholders * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, related field or equivalent experience Please note, the deadline for applications is Friday 29th November 2019 at 11.59pm UK Time.
