Year 1 Teacher - Wigan

School Details:

Milk Education are working with a one form entry Primary School in Wigan to assist them with employing a full time KS1 teacher. The school provides a caring and welcoming environment for its pupils, staff and families in the local community. The school also ensures extra-curricular activities are made available to all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • KS1 Teacher working in a Year 1 Class
  • Teaching the Year 1 National Curriculum to a class of 30 pupils
  • Provide planning for the Teaching Assistant to work with smaller groups
  • Be available to work from Mon 18th November 2019 to Fri 20th December 2019 initially

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Previous KS1 teaching experience and confident teaching Phonics
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE, B.Ed. or a BA Hons
  • Teaching in a UK Primary School or British International School in the last two years
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
