Your new role

A s a Platform Support Analyst you'll monitor the health of our customer's systems in order to ensure they experience minimal downtime. The role is proactive in nature and will involve using our End Point Management system to monitor Backups, Server Health and perform patch management. Whilst you're not be responsible for incoming calls, you'll be making outbound calls and as such will represent the department as well as the business.

The team you'll join

The platform team is managed by Chris, and consists of 3 other colleagues who work together closely to successfully meet the demand of customers. This proactive and collaborative team was established two years ago and has a 'can do' approach towards daily challenges. Each team member has full access to Pluralsight meaning you manage your learning and development as well as keeping up to speed on hot topics!

What you'll bring

These are the skills and experience you'll need to set yourself up for success in this role, however we'd still love to talk to you even if you don't tick all of them:
  • A good technical background and understanding of Hosted Solutions, Networking and Hardware.
  • A strong technical understanding of Openstack, VCloud, AWS and Azure.
  • Good Windows administration and troubleshooting skills are essential for the role with specific focus on Microsoft Operating Systems and Active Directory
  • Scripting skills such as Windows PowerShell would be beneficial
  • Linux administration and troubleshooting would be useful
  • Experience of configuring Proxy Servers, Managing Firewalls and VPN Solutions
  • Experience in a technical support role and the ability to learn new products and support them is essential
  • Experience in a Customer Service and Service Management environment would be beneficial. The role requires providing support to many different customers
  • Good communication skills and a professional telephone manner are a must for the role
