Are you looking to develop your skills within a community setting? Oxford City Community Hospital is temporarily closed whilst we recruit the right staff for our ward.

Working within our Nurse-led unit you will be caring for patients who have come to us from Medical, Trauma, Renal and Surgical wards for rehabilitation and complex discharge management. You will also have the privilege of caring for patients who are coming to the end of their life as well as patients with a wide variety of other conditions. This means that every day will you will see a variety of specialisms that will allow you to utilise and grow your nursing skills in different ways.

At Oxford City Community Hospital, the main focus is on rehabilitation. To facilitate this there is a very strong therapeutic presence within our multi-disciplinary team which you will be an integral part of.

We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced Nurse who is looking for a new challenge, or a newly Qualified Nurse who is interested in starting your career within the community hospital setting.

  • New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
  • Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
