There has never been a better time to join our Trust than now! We run three busy hospital sites at Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford and provide outpatient services in two community hospitals in Ely and Doddington. Our 6,000 staff serve a growing population of 750,000 across North Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

These two Stroke Consultant posts are in the Division of Emergency & Medicine Clinical Directorate at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, to join the existing base of four Consultants.

These posts have become available at an exciting time for the service, and will assist with the further development of an already strong, dynamic and forward thinking stroke service, who are committed to delivering national stroke targets and locally commissioned improvements.

This will be an opportunity to develop our service, that will encompass a team of 6 Stroke Consultants with 4 in Peterborough City Hospital and 2 in Hinchingbrooke Hospital. There will be a rota for all Consultants, which will rotate through the hyper - acute unit at Peterborough City Hospital.

This appointment is full time with 10 programmed activities per week.

There will be an opportunity to increase PA's allocated through weekend working on the stroke unit and creating a thrombolysis Rota for the hospital. The successful applicant will be expected to take part in the weekend stroke ward round (1 in 6).

Additional PA's will also be available if applicant wants to undertake on call in acute general medicine.

You will be required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview.

The cost of the check is currently £50 for an enhanced check and £31 for a standard check reducing to £44 and £27 from 1st October.
