For posts on Public Health England Civil Service terms and conditions, on appointment the salary is normally the minimum point (see salary range above). This will be dependent on the successful candidate's current salary and terms and/or equivalent experience. The Civil Service pay structure and progression is different from NHS Agenda for Change, most local authority pay grades and other systems which have annual pay increments. Salary increases are awarded based on performance assessed through the annual appraisal cycle. Please see attached an information sheet explaining starting salaries and benefits when joining PHE.

For temporary appointments: If you are external to the Civil Service, you will take up the post on a Fixed Term appointment, if you are an existing Civil Servant, based outside of PHE, you will take up the post as a loan and if you are an existing PHE member of staff, you will take up the post as either a level transfer or a temporary promotion as per PHE's Pay and Grading policy. If you are an existing Civil Servant, (in PHE or elsewhere) you must have prior agreement from your Line Manager before applying for this post.

The Screening and Immunisation team are looking to recruit a Screening and Immunisation coordinator to manage predominately the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and also the Antenatal and Newborn Programme portfolio.

The post holder will be joining an experienced and supportive team and we are currently seeking a new team member who can demonstrate their experience, passion and motivation to work with commissioned screening providers to improve Screening and Immunisation uptake across the Midlands in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

The post holder will be required to support the commissioning and delivery of high quality Screening and Immunisation programmes.

We are looking for someone who would want to add value to the team by being supportive and flexible with a desire to deliver to a high standard. The successful candidate will require the ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders, or be able to build upon existing relationships; this will necessitate travelling within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with occasional travel outside this area as required by the post.

In return the team will support with workload and any developmental needs, to support you to achieve individually and as a team.
