Our clinical facilities are excellent, as we have invested in state of the art theatres, Critical Care, Emergency Department and our Childrens Wards (to name but a few). We have also invested in our people, ensuring we have the right number of the right people delivering care, fostering a culture of compassion, support and excellence.

Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and their families?

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Assistant to join the Children & Young People's Continuing Care Team.

The Children's Continuing Care Team is dedicated to supporting children and young people with complex medical needs. We provide high quality care to children and young people within South Cheshire and Vale Royal.

  • Do you have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care/Child Care or have experience of working with children and young people with complex health needs?
  • Are you passionate about providing high quality, flexible care for children and families to support them to manage their day to day lives?
  • Would you like to learn new clinical care skills including tracheostomy, gastrostomy and jejenostomy care, Oxygen therapy and more?
  • Do you have good communication skills, are reliable and are flexible as working hours may vary on a week-to-week basis.

You will be offered bespoke competency based training as well as NHS mandatory training relevant to your role. Support will be provided by registered nurses and experienced Health Care Assistants so that you gain the knowledge and skills required to care for these children.
