We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our clinical governance team; providing a comprehensive Medicines Information (MI) and Clinical Trials service. Bradford Teaching Hospitals is a great place to work, with a friendly and welcoming pharmacy team. The size of the department means there are many opportunities for a motivated pharmacist to develop and use their skills, and you will be supported by senior staff.

You will be part of a well-supported and established team; you will work with experienced staff and we will ensure that you are offered appropriate training and development for the role if required. You will have the opportunity to attend national training courses for both MI and clinical trials. You will also be encouraged to take part in MI peer reviews with other local MI pharmacists, to attend regional meetings for MI and clinical trials, and to attend the annual UKMI Practice Development Seminar.

Our local MI service answers up to 150 enquiries per month from healthcare professionals and patients, and there are lots of other opportunities to provide teaching input into the pharmacy department.

We work closely with the research nurses, have good working relationships with the wider research teams, and are encouraged to attend and contribute to Trust research meetings.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the Drug and Therapeutics group, and to be involved in writing guidelines and policies. Some input to the clinical service will also be required, including limited ward cover and being part of on call and weekend working rotas.

The post will be based at Bradford Royal Infirmary with very occasional cross site working.

For further information and an informal conversation / visit, please contact Helen Wilson (MI and Clinical Trials Manager) on 01274 364598.
