We are recruiting for a Senior Sister / Senior Charge Nurse who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The successful post holder will be expected to lead the ward and the Nursing Team and work closely with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, ensuring that patients receive high quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.

The Senior Sister / Senior Charge Nurse will work in partnership with the Matron for their ward ensuring that high standards are maintained, through audit and on-going monitoring.

The successful applicant will be fully supported whilst gaining a breadth of experience in the care of the surgically ill patients undergoing a variety of surgical interventions. Our education programme supported by our Standards and Practice Matron aims to provide staff of all grades with the essential knowledge and skills required in our busy, friendly department.

As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development we are offering a number of apprenticeships and training opportunities in Leadership and Management, Business Services, Finance, Accounting and HR, Clinical Support Work, Research and Innovation, Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner alongside our in-house comprehensive clinical pathways.

The Trust has also engaged with the renowned Henley Business School to be able to offer MBA, MA,BA, Executive Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
