Full or Part Time Pharmacy Technician

Pelham Medical Group is looking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to enhance our established practice team. We are a welcoming practice in Grimsby aiming to provide high quality care in a supportive environment.

We are looking for a committed and hardworking Technician with the enthusiasm to learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances. Experience in general practice would be advantageous but transferable skills such as would also be considered.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the prescribing clinicians to ensure safe, accurate and timely supply of prescriptions for patients. They will play a key role in supporting the quality and standards of care delivered to patients.

There will be the opportunity to take a lead role in the continuous improvement of our prescribing both in terms of improved patient care and practice performance. Full details of this role can be found in the job description.

The successful candidate may need to support extended hours on a rota basis. Salary is dependent upon skills, qualifications and experience. As a guide is expected to be equivalent to Band 4 / Band 5.

You will be required to have current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Appointment to any position is conditional on a satisfactory registration, licence and qualification checks.

- 12,500 patients / 5 GP's plus extended clinical team.

- A broad clinical skill mix across the team. Existing clinical staff specialities covering: Diabetes; Substance Misuse; Paediatrics; Family Planning; Microsuction; and Musculoskeletal.

- We are actively involved in collaborations and working groups across the local CCG area and would support your involvement in general practice development if you wished.

- We actively encourage whole team involvement in the practice development and planning.

- Practice has a CQC rating of "Good" for both sites.
