Staff Nurse - Haematology/Oncology

We are a specialised 11 bedded unit focusing primarily on the treatment of haematology patients.

We are offering the opportunity to develop both your knowledge and clinical skills whilst providing high quality care to our patients.

  1. The opportunity to gain an accredited chemotherapy administration qualification through Oxford Brookes University (funded by the Ward).
  2. The opportunity to gain the expert knowledge in delivering chemotherapy and the care of patients after treatment.
  3. You will be expertly guided by a team of highly qualified, experienced nurses and doctors who will support and guide you throughout your learning.
  4. You will gain knowledge in accessing central venous access devices e.g. picc lines.
  5. The opportunity to further your haematology and oncology knowledge via an organised programme of learning.

What is the future of cancer services within Basingstoke Hospital?

Now is a great time to join the Wessex Ward team! This year plans are going forward for a brand new transplant room.

As well as this there are plans for a new purpose built cancer centre on the horizon for HHFT, so now is the right time for you to join the team.
