Specialty Doctor for Community Hospitals and Home Treatment Service in West Kent.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Kent Community Health Foundation Trust (KCHFT) to join an existing team providing care to patients outside the acute trust environment in a number of community locations. The successful candidate will work predominantly in the West Kent area which covers Sevenoaks, Edenbridge and Tonbridge.

We are seeking to employ a Speciality Doctor to join our team, who is dedicated, enthusiastic, enjoys a challenge, is highly motivated and has the service users at the heart of what they do at all times. Helping to maintain the service we provide to individuals is kept to the highest standard and to provide a service that you would be happy for your loved ones to receive.

You will be reporting to the Consultant for West Kent, the post-holder will have overall responsibility for management of patients in the West Kent Community Hospitals and at times providing cover into the Home Treatment Service. You will initially be based at Edenbridge District War Memorial Hospital and once the new build is completed you will move into our brand new Health and Wellbeing Unit.

The community hospitals treat patients for Rehabilitation, End of Life and Fractured Neck of Femur, stepping down from acute hospitals and stepping up from their own homes. This includes the Home First program (Discharge to Assess).

Rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC in 2019 we continue to work on maintaining and improving this level of service, together we bring the KCHFT values to the forefront of how we deliver patient care and also strive to providing a great place to work.

We are one of the largest NHS community health providers in England, serving a population of about 1.4m across Kent and 600k in East Sussex and London, employing around 5,000 staff. We believe that our patients receive the best care from a workforce that is motivated and happy.

Whole or part-time working considered. Experience background in acute, geriatric or general medicine and/ or GP training would be beneficial.
