As a hospital Trust we are currently involved in over 100 clinical trials and studies, whilst also providing acute elective and specialist services to a population of over 620,000.

By joining Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust new colleagues can look forward to a warm welcome and a future full of opportunities and support.

Great care can change everything. Like you, at the Gloucestershire Hospital NHS Trust we want to deliver truly brilliant, integrated care. And just like you, we are ambitious about what we do. We are continually striving to improve patients' experience and outcomes.

To do this we have developed an innovative Trust wide Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) Service both in Gloucester and Cheltenham Hospitals based on national best-practice guidelines. The aim of AEC is to provide increased health outcomes for patients, redesigning the emergency care model so that care can be provided on the same day. Patients admitted through an AEC are seen diagnosed, treated and discharged on the same day, leaving admission to a hospital bed reserved only for very sick patients. AEC offers close working relationships with medical and therapy colleagues offering a full range of specialist services in order to facilitate a timely, safe and effective patient's journey throughout the health care system.

We are looking for exceptional, committed, caring and compassionate Staff Nurses to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be forward thinking, pro-active and motivated to assist in providing the highest standard of care to our patients possible whilst treating our patients with dignity, compassion and respect. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work within the AEC team. The post holder will have responsibility for triage of patient referrals, ongoing assessment of care, timely patient interventions and discharge. Bring your dedication and determination here, and you will benefit from the support of an experienced, friendly and enthusiastic multi-professional team committed to the delivery of brilliant patient care.
