WARD 23 - FRAILTY

£24,214 - £30,112 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 5)

37.5 hours per week - PERMANENT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Frailty Unit (Ward 23) nursing team as a band 5 Staff Nurse. The Frailty Unit strives to provide the Older Population of Barnsley and the surrounding areas with the highest standards of care and treatment whilst aiming to maintain a short-stay ethos.

The successful applicant will work in our 16 bedded in-patient ward area. Our Frailty Unit is undergoing some exciting changes to ensure that the elderly population of Barnsley receive a high quality of care, and return home with 24-72hrs. Our Dynamic team already consists of Registered Mental health nurses, registered general nurses and frailty practitioners.

Excellent team working, organisational and motivational skills are a must, along with good communication and people skills.

The role also involves managing the flow of a daily caseload of patients through the ward area, and liaising with a wide range of other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Standard Check: £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment

Enhanced Check: £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
