We have an exciting opportunity for a current Band 5 or 6 Occupational Therapist to join our award winning Community Neurology team, based in King's Lynn.

We are looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with an interest in Neurology who would like to develop their skills in this area further.

Our multi-professional team provides a specialist service for individuals across West Norfolk with a variety of neurological conditions for example MS, PD, MND and TBI.

The role includes working across the whole patient pathway from diagnosis and new symptoms management, through the condition pathway home based therapies, case management, social re-integration, vocational rehabilitation and palliative care. You will be supported to provide specialist neurological assessment, interpretation, intervention and education. This will include patient-centred goal planning and rehabilitation and liaison/referral to other support services, and family support where appropriate in conjunction with the rest of the team.

Assessment and intervention will predominantly be held in patients home or at patients' choice of venue, including work base, and other sites in the community where appropriate.

The team has strong links with health, social and voluntary agencies. This locally includes the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn and local branches of National Charities. Regionally our links include the Colman Centre for Specialist Rehabilitation, the Oliver Zangwill Centre, and acute centres in Cambridge and Norwich. You will be encouraged to further enhance these links.

Continuing Professional Development will be supported in relation to professional and team developmental needs. You holder will be offered regular supervision and have the opportunity to attend specialist training to support them in their role.
