Maternity Post - PSHE & Citizenship Teacher £110 - £180 per day

Hays Education have a fantastic opportunity to recruit for a PSHE & Citizenship Teacher to work in a brilliant secondary school to take on a maternity post. Your new secondary school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and are seeking a brilliant teacher to support them maintain high standards of lesson delivery.

Your new role
Your new role is full-time and will commence on Monday 15th June until Christmas. You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging lesson material to KS3 & KS4 PSHE & Citizenship students across the school. You will be given appropriate PPA time within your timetable to successfully achieve these requirements.

In addition to your teaching timetable you will be required to attend parents evenings and you may be responsible for a form tutor group. Throughout this role you will be working alongside a dedicated and supportive department who will support you when required.

What you'll need to succeed
  • You must have worked in a secondary school environment within the last 2 years (references)
  • Confident to deliver the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum to KS3 & KS4 students
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have a PGCE in secondary education
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with the desire to continue and improve pupil learning
  • Willingness to plan and prepare lesson material
  • Confident to work independently in your PPA sessions
