Summary and Main Purpose:
The role of the Management Development Coach is to teach, guide and support the development and progression of participants on Management Apprenticeship Programmes. To support the delivery of the required Management Standard within the work-based setting, delivering effective and engaging training via a blended learning approach. This, along with regular visits to ensure continuous development, growth and achievement of learners allocated on the caseload.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Deliver and facilitate training and formative assessment, which encourages accelerated learning and results in new knowledge, skills and behaviours being applied into the workplace.
  • Evaluate and modify training delivery as a result of learner satisfaction and key stakeholder feedback.
  • Complete the required number of visits and reviews for each apprentice.
  • Engage and coach the learner's line manager to provide adequate support and guidance needed by the learner during the working day.
  • Support and Manage the learner to undertake the required learning activities to enable them to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours for their apprenticeship standard.
  • Support and manage the learner to enable them to practice and apply the new skills, knowledge and behaviours in their workplace recording evidence of impact in readiness for end pint assessment.
  • Support and manage the learner to collect the necessary evidence and, to ensure progression in readiness for their end point assessment (EPA) including achievement of the necessary qualifications and/or milestones required.
  • Support and manage the learner to achieve the required functional skills as laid out in the apprenticeship standard.
  • Monitor and review learner issues on a regular basis, taking any necessary action to limit the number of early leavers from the programme.
  • Manage and complete both business and personal administration within given timescales.
  • Ensure knowledge of all subject areas including subject specialism and teaching, learning and assessment by way of self-development (CPD).
  • Work as part of the delivery team and give feedback and offer ideas and suggestions for improving team performance.
  • Research the industry on a regular basis to keep abreast of market developments and trends.
  • Understand Remit and client culture and values and work in line with these always.
  • Management qualification level 3 or up to level 5 or equivalent
  • Functional skills Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent
  • TAQA Level 3 or equivalent
  • Teaching or training qualification (AET/CET/DET or similar)

  • Essential to be able to demonstrate experience of relevant occupational competence in Business Admin (up to Level 4) and Management (Up to Level 5)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • Excellent IT knowledge & skills
  • Ability to set SMART targets
  • Assessment processes and evidence capture
  • Time Management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with the minimum of supervision as part of a remote team
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of management models and theories
  • Knowledge of Government Funded training
  • Experience of working with an electronic portfolio system
  • Experience of working with apprenticeship standards
  • Knowledge of ILM and CMI qualifications
