We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Finance & Performance Manager for a nationally recognised Charity in the North West. The organisation is looking to expand the team to ensure delivery of an exciting project across Greater Manchester.

Reporting to the Regional Finance & Performance Business Partner you will lead on the financial management, reporting and analysis of this and other projects, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and meets the requirements of both Funders and the Charity. The role will work with key stakeholders, wider project teams and Charity staff to ensure any issues/risks are highlighted and dealt with quickly and effectively. The post holder will be the key point of contact for the Future Workforce Fund in relation to audit and the North Finance and Performance Business Partner for strategic planning. You will:
  • Lead on the overall financial management of the initiative and ensure this major initiative is fully integrated and leveraged within Greater Manchester business plans and financials.
  • Lead on the robust financial analysis of new and innovative ways of working and provide management information and advice for decision making.
  • To ensure accurate and timely financial management for the initiative and other projects and to prepare and present the monthly management packs, providing analysis and commentary
  • Work closely with central Finance, Performance and Impact teams to develop, deliver and interpret standard and ad hoc holistic management and performance information for this major new initiative.
  • Ensure the full value and impact of this initiative is recognised, including match funding, gifts in kind, sustainable Greater Manchester legacy, as well as lessons learnt for the charity for other major initiatives.
  • Ensure project financial information is correctly incorporated within Trust budgets and periodic reforecasts.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance against the contract and alerting Senior Operational and Fundraising staff to initiate corrective action where appropriate.

The ideal will be CCAB / QBE Qualified Accountant with exposure to both the commercial and charitable sector, be fully involved and committed to the organisations mission and be more than just finance. You will be a true business advisor to ensure delivery of the charities objectives.
