IT Support Role

Based in Watford

Up to £25k dependant on experience

Our client, an international company with a UK head office based in Watford are looking for someone to come in on a permanent basis to support the IT Manager with the first line support for hardware and software problems in a Windows environment. Although this role is based in Watford, it may require some travel to other UK sites.

Key responsibilities:

1st line support for hardware and software problems internally
Performing desktop and network support for approximately 500 users across the UK
Support via telephone, email and face-to-face
Installation of company software including SAP, MS Office and Design software
Setting up of new users
Windows server administration
Administration of SAP
Set-up/repairing and replacement of hardware including PCs, mobile phones, tablets and printers
Liaise with third-party suppliers
Administration of Network infrastructure, Firewalls and Internet connections
First point of contact for antivirus, iPads, Video Conference system

Experience required:

Previous experience in a similar role essential
Advanced MS Office
Experience with Windows based environments, Windows 7 & 10, Office 2016, Server 2003 and above
Solid networking skills
Knowledge of Android and iOS based mobile operating systems
Basic knowledge of MacOS
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Flexibility and adaptability
Must be able to work on your own initiative
Communication Skills - working within contacts in and outside of the organisation
