PHP Developer - Preston - up to £35,000 per annum
PHP, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, TDD/BDD

A PHP Developer is required to join a market leading client of ours based in Preston to help design and develop several cutting-edge healthcare products.

As the PHP specialist, you will form part of a cross functional team responsible for driving their existing products to the next level as well as leading an array of greenfield projects. The current codebase is at its early stages so there's lots of new development and improvements to be made with the latest versions of PHP.

This role isn't for the faint hearted, you'll be expected to be prioritise a heavy workload and be confident in picking up and learning new technologies. Due to the nature of the work, it is essential that the candidate comes from a systems development background. If this is you, then feel free to get in touch!

In order to be considered for the role you will need to have demonstrable experience in the following skill / technologies:
* Extensive experience of programming with the latest versions of PHP (5.x, 7.x)
* Exposure to front end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Highly confident with PHP frameworks - ideally Laravel
* The ability to adopt an object-oriented approach to programming

Ideal skills / experience for the successful PHP Developer:
* The ability to successfully build and deliver API focused projects
* Confident of working with the Atlassian stack - Jira, GitHub
* A keen interest in DevOps using tools such as Docker, Terraform & Kubernetes
* Previous experience in adopting TDD & BDD methodologies

In addition to the above, it is important that the successful candidate is confident in engaging with both technical and non-technical team members as well having previously worked in an Agile environment.
