BRAND NEW opportunity for a confident and well-experienced Payroll Administrator to join a unique company based in Barnsley.

This role requires a Payroll Administrator that has experience handling a large volume of payroll whilst multi-tasking other responsibilities throughout the working day. Processing payroll for circa 4000 workers, this position is well suited to someone that is keen to get stuck in to a hands-on, fast paced role.

Salary and benefits:
  • £19,500 - £21,500 (May be negotiable based on experience)

Main responsibilities:
  • Processing large volumes of payroll weekly
  • Handling a large volume of inbound phone calls
  • General invoicing and data input
  • Dealing with customer pay queries, demonstrating a good understanding of tax and national insurance
  • Finalising and balance of payroll journals
  • General administration and supporting the team where necessary

Skills and experience:
  • Strong experience in handling a large volume of payroll
  • A true multi-tasker, able to competently manage various duties such as inbound calls as well as general administration duties
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Skilled in using all Microsoft applications including excel spreadsheets
  • Able to pick up in-house training efficiently and implement this in your everyday role
  • Happy to contribute in all areas of the business
