Our client an established heavy engineering company are looking to recruit an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their expanding team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To ensure all the Electrical infrastructure is maintained at optimum levels
  • To ensure all the Mechanical infrastructure is maintained at optimum levels
  • Maintaining a safe Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure.
  • Advising on Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns and faults, when required
  • Liaising with and production departments to resolve ongoing issues.
  • Involved in various Continuous Improvement activities across the site
  • Using appropriate data and systems to interact with PLC/SCADA & control systems.
  • Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be actively involved in the sites Energy Management Strategy.
  • To carry out testing and inspection and rectifications works.
  • To assemble, install, test, certify and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus,fixtures and mechanical plant.
  • To plan and carry out small projects.
  • To inspect mainly electrical but also mechanical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • To monitor, adjust and identify faults as required.
  • To advise on and participate in best practice for all Electrical and Mechanical issues.
  • To work effectively with the current Electricians and Mechanical fitters.

Experience Required:
  • City and Guilds electrical qualification 17th Edition & 2391
  • Recognised apprenticeship (Multi skilled or Electrical biased).
  • Knowledge of induction furnaces will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and SCADA(desirable) Control Systems.
  • Enthusiastic, computer Literate, Ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.
  • Willingness to be involved in Project and Continuous Improvement activities.

The Package:
  • £33,400 per annum.
  • 3 shift rotation.
