Newhill Primary School is situated within Blairgowrie Community Campus in the town of Blairgowrie, which is located to the North-east of Perth. Newhill PS has a current school role of 420 pupils with 81 children in our Early Learning and Childcare Centre.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our staff team at this exciting time as Depute Head Teacher at Newhill Primary School. You will be committed to school improvement, promoting high quality learning and teaching, and raising achievement and attainment for all learners. Applications are invited from practitioners who have the vision and energy to sustain and ensure continued development and progress within our school.

As Depute Head Teacher you will support the Head Teacher in the development and delivery of continued high quality learning and teaching which meets the needs of all pupils.

In addition to the general matters described in the job descriptions and carried out together with the HT, it is hoped the successful candidate will have responsibilities in the following areas, but these are open to negotiation to make best use of the combined skills of SMT:

- Assessment and Moderation

- Health and Wellbeing

- Social subjects and Interdisciplinary Learning

- Parental Engagement Strategy

- Global Citizenship and Sustainability.
