The Finance Assistant is a general role, working within a busy accounts team encompassing subcontract ledger processes, purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll administration.

Client Details

My client is a renowned firm based in Oxford, dealing with a wealthy clientele in a high end market. They are looking for an immediately available Finance Assistant to join there team ASAP. They have parking on site and are easily accessible by public transport. They have just moved offices to a newly refurbished site, they also have a snooker table!

Description

The Finance Assistant's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Processing and payment of subcontract ledger
  • Analysing, coding and inputting time sheets for direct employees on a weekly basis ensuring all time sheets are approved by relevant signatories.
  • To process and check payroll to ensure accuracy of input ensuring payslips are distributed each week
  • Daily processing of purchase ledger including weekly payment runs
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Process sales ledger invoices and produce a weekly debtors schedule.
  • Month end reconciliations and journals.
  • General accounting / office duties / providing reception and department cover during absence and sickness as required.

The Successful Finance Assistant will be:
  • Professional, personable and have good communication skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a team
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
