Are you a natural leader, with strong problem solving-skills?

We require an experienced behaviour support worker to join one of our schools as the Behaviour Lead.

The successful candidate will be playing a key part in the Inclusion Team, developing and implementing an intervention programme of activities to address behavioural, social and emotional needs of individuals and small groups. They will be working with pupils, parents and staff.

You must be passionate about providing the best possible education and care for vulnerable students. Part of the role will be to lead break and lunchtime provision, after school clubs, holiday activities and sports tournaments, providing clear structures which encourage and maintain high standards in behaviour. A creative and enthusiastic approach is therefore vital. It would suit an individual who is passionate about making a real difference to student's life chances.

The school is based on the Bradford/Leeds border. They are a rapidly improving school, and seek individuals that will further add to this progress.

The role is 37 hours per week during term time + 15 days and is required as soon as possible. The role will become permanent for the right candidate!

What you will require:
  • Be confident, passionate, highly motivated and resilient
  • Strong behaviour management
  • The ability to be creative and engaging sessions
  • The ability to work positively and effectively under pressure, taking note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the wellbeing and safeguarding of children
  • Previous experience of working within a PRU setting or challenging behaviour setting
  • 2x references
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
