We are looking for a dynamic and talented finance & ops assistant to join an excelling company based on the outskirts of Newcastle.

About the Role
  • Data entry onto the Xero accounting system and working with Excel spreadsheets
  • All aspects of sales admin (invoicing, organising/processing/matching)
  • Managing expenses
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with month-end procedures.
  • Any other ad-hoc finance responsibilities with a possibility of getting involved in a full spectrum of accounting duties
  • Filing, distribution of post
  • General banking

  • • Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries
  • Supporting with management of busy diaries
  • Stock take & orders (drinks, stationery etc..)
  • Answering phone calls & responding to emails
  • Supporting the Office Manager with running of the office in a proactive way
  • Helping organise travel, accommodation & tickets for staff
  • Supporting with organisation of internal and external events.

About You
  • A self- starter, comfortable when working independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach will be key for this role as you will be expected to make autonomous decisions
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload.
  • Finance experience would be desirable but full training will be given
  • Experience of data entry would be beneficial
  • A high degree of and ability to multitask- delivering to tight deadlines
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism
  • Commercial awareness- you will be involved in most duties within operations so keeping in touch with every department is essential
  • Previous experience of working with accounting systems would be beneficial
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office package.
