£9.62 - 12.38 per hour

I am currently recruiting for 2 x ICT Technician's on behalf of our client based in Lincoln. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm.

Duties will include but not limited in:
  • This role requires frequent concentration where the work pattern can be unpredictable, and the candidate must be able to multi-task and work under pressure with tight schedules, numerous deadlines, and changing or conflicting priorities across all areas of responsibility.
  • The nature of the post means unpredictable and frequent interruptions and frequent use of a computer on a daily basis with high levels of accuracy required.
  • The candidate will be required to work on their own initiative, under the guidance of the ICT Senior Technician and ICT Technicians.
  • There may be occasional exposure to distressing circumstances with incidental patient contact.
  • Provide technical support and advice services for the AGEM ICT Services infrastructure of AGEM (for all Desktop technologies) to enable key organisational and clinical functions to be maintained.
  • Ensure that physical security of operating environments, assigned computer suites, communications and server rooms are maintained including control of access and change control arrangements in accordance with laid down policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the review, update and upgrades of existing IT systems and services to meet customer requirements.
  • The candidate will be required to provide advice and guidance on technical issues across whole sectors of the local health community.
  • To assess and contribute to the future needs of the service (i.e. Monitor service performance and improve where practical).

The successful candidates will have the following:

Desirable qualifications:
  • ECDL certification
  • Customer Care Training
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • Experience of either providing IT helpdesk support or first line IT support.

Essential experience:
  • A working knowledge of PC's, Microsoft operating systems and software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships and ensure continuity in service delivery.
  • Customer focussed and well organised.
  • Analyses, investigates and resolves IM&T issues where there are a number of options; analyses user requirements which may require configuration of hardware and/or software.
  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult users.
  • Has the ability to make appropriate decisions, initiating action to resolve operational problems.
  • Able to work in a team
  • Able to work with supervision to achieve the objectives of the post.
  • Be able to work under pressure and have strong interpersonal skills
