An exciting opportunity, to join a community of staff striving to maintain and continuing to create an outstanding comprehensive all through school. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Primary Education Support Team.

Your School:

Ark Academy is an all through school that offers excellent learning from nursery through to higher education. In an all through school, school parents can expect their son/daughter to transfer seamlessly from primary to secondary school. We now have three years of Ark primary students who have transferred to secondary. We are one and share the same values and expectations. Our aim is to ensure that all our pupils develop as high achieving, confident, articulate young people whose education fully equips them to go on to university or the career of their choice and this starts from an early age.

The Post:

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full time, fixed-term basis. The successful applicant will be required to assist and provide one-to-one support to statemented pupils within the primary school, and will be expected to serve as a motivational role model. A belief in a supportive and nurturing environment is essential, as this ensures that our pupils can make rapid progress both academically and socially.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated teaching assistant who is looking to further develop their practice.

The Person:

A calm and patient manner is essential, as is a nurturing approach to pupil development. A good understanding of the academy's teaching and learning and behaviour policies are desirable, and specific training will be provided to support you in the role. Prior experience should be included in your application. Liaising with the SENCo, class teachers and the parents of children will all form part of your role.

How to apply:

Visit http://arkacademy.org/ for more information on the school and how to apply. For an informal, confidential discussion, please contact Peter Watkins, Primary Headteacher on 020 8385 4371 or p.watkins@arkacademy.org

Please submit your application online by 9am on Monday 28 October 2019 Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis so early applications are encouraged. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.

Closing Date: 28 October 2019

Interview Date: Thursday 31 October 2019

Start Date: ASAP
