What is the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Trainer, with extensive expertise in Overhead Lines, based at Perth Training Centre. You will facilitate training and conduct assessments to ensure that SSE staff have the technical knowledge & skills to support business needs. You will be required to deliver training throughout the UK meet our customers needs.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and a flair for developing people. You must have a technical background with suitable experience working within the Electricity Networks Business on both HV & LV Distribution Overhead Lines.

The successful candidate will hold as a minimum, authorisations under the Operational Safety Rules to at least Category 6 (HV Live Line) & Category 7 (HV Switching). You will be comfortable climbing & working at height on Wood Pole structures.

Category 4 & 5 (LV Live Working & LV switching) are essential.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to facilitate engaging and inclusive learning environments for a diverse workforce.

The ideal candidate will hold current coaching, training and assessing qualifications. Candidates without these skills will be required to complete a development programme. You will need to be highly organised, self-disciplined and self-motivated.
