Our Opportunity - This is an exciting role for a driven Finance Assistant or a strong Administrator looking to begin a finance career. This is a key role in dealing with our customers, dealers and premium funding organisations to ensure the smooth registration of new agreements and ensuring that premiums are received and booked efficiently and correctly.

The role will involve:
  • Issuing dealer statements and Direct Debit collections, reconciling collections and preparing debtor reports highlighting issue areas.
  • Assisting with daily cash allocation by bacs and cheques, chasing up remittances, and sending copy invoices.
  • Dealing with our customer and agent queries by telephone/email/ticketing system.
  • Being the key contact for SMART business units and premium funding
  • Data Entry, adding/ updating customer details, account details, changing payments dates, reinstating direct debits.
  • Assisting with the entry of new Direct Debit mandates and Direct Debit collection.
  • Opening and distributing daily post to correct departments.
  • Assisting with dealer set up and sign off process.
  • Administering customer refunds for SMART products as needed.

Essential Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to situations and learn new tasks quickly.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
  • GCSE Mathematics and English (or equivalent).

Desirable Skills
  • Use of accounting systems / sales ledger posting.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable function.
