Evans Property Group are seeking an ambitious and hard-working individual for the role of Junior Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking their first role in accounting and who wish to work in a supportive environment, as well as be given funding to complete the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting for the duration of their employment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out daily and weekly general accounting and finance administrative tasks as well as ad hoc tasks as directed by the senior accounting team, which include:

-Process purchase ledger invoices, including posting them on our accounting system, review and resolve any queried invoices, follow up for payment authorisation.

-Check supplier statements and request copies of missing items.

-Complete bank reconciliations as well as carry out a weekly cash count, process any BACS and cheque requests.

-Raise billings for property rents, utility recharges and internal recharge invoices.

-Complete supplier statements reconciliations.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be:

-Achieved a minimum grade B in Maths, and a minimum grade C in English, at AS Level.

-Computer literate with a solid working foundation of knowledge in using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.

-Any working experience is favourable.

-Have an aptitude for administration and organisation.

-Display an enthusiasm to learn and show a commitment to accounting as your long-term careers.

-Work as a team player and have strong communication skills.

CONTRACT and REWARD

This vacancy offers a 12 month, fixed term contract, with the opportunity for a permanent contract based on the performance of the individual and business need.

The role is based in our offices in Millshaw, Leeds. Working hours are:

· Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:30 including a 1 hour lunch break

· Friday 08:30-16:30 including a 1 hour lunch break

Salary is up to £19,000 per annum and this role offers funding for the duration of employment towards the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting.
