epresent the company within a selection of key accounts and to develop profitable sales from both a range of existing lines and new product development.

Principal Accountabilities & Objectives

* To achieve the agreed sales turnover budget across existing and new accounts

* To achieve the agreed gross margin target across existing and new accounts

* To develop profitable business from new market sectors

* To communicate effectively with other departments in the business to ensure that any changes in the products and procedures of the key accounts can be managed positively with the minimal cost impact

* To keep informed of product and market trends

* Maintain electronic files for all customers with details of contacts, correspondence, pricing, agreements and any other relevant information

* Proactively inform colleagues of any changes within key accounts that have an impact on the business

* Provide monthly (or as when requested) feedback on status of sales and margin within the key accounts

* Provide monthly (or as when requested) feedback on volumes, value and status of new business opportunities from both existing and potential accounts

* Provide all required information to enable costing to be completed efficiently and accurately.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

* Previous Experience in Food required

* The jobholder will have strong commercial awareness and an interest in business and how an organisation works and manages resources

* Time management, planning and communications skills are required plus an ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

* Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers and colleagues at all levels

* Be computer literate including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and E-mail.
