Job Summary

To work within the Financial Planning & Analysis team to support and advise on strategic and operational decision making. To provide insight and analysis that will drive better business performance. These insights will be based on analysis of operational performance, industry dynamics, market trends and the competitor landscape.

In addition, occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks as may reasonably be requested by the Society.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial involvement in the business:

* Contribute to strategic decision-making and risk management.

* Improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance

* Provide analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies and the associated Key Performance Indicators

* Deliver and support financial appraisals through the appropriate analysis (Discounted Cash Flows, Return On Capital Employed).

* Competitor benchmarking and market analysis

* Advising on key business planning assumptions and opportunities

* Build strong relationships with the Group General Managers and their teams

* Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by senior management

Effective reporting to the Board, Executive, Leadership Team and external bodies as necessary.

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
At least 5 years post qualification experience.
Commercial business partnering experience
Excellent IT skills specifically MS Excel and confident on variou
