Seeking Network Engineer CambourneYou will be responsible for the provision and technical support of all network users throughout the centralised service this will include the architectural design, the functionality and security. The Network Engineering team is responsible for all aspects and components of the Network including: Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless, IP telephony and equipment used for mobilisation. It is essential that you have a full UK driving license for this role.

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £29,000 - £31,300

Please note for this role you will be required to carry out of hours emergency call out service overnight and at weekends and public holidays on a rota basis to provide 24x7x365 support.

Duties:
  • Ensure work is completed in line with project timescales and Service Level Agreements
  • Undertake the installation, testing, upgrading, control and management of all configuration items including software, hardware and firmware assets
  • Investigate and resolve all reported incidents and problems associated with the network
  • Undertake assessment, analysis, and implementation of all changes to the network and infrastructure
  • Maintain complete, current and accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and ITIL standards
  • Maintain security to ensure the infrastructure is kept secure from internal and external threats
  • Ensure all security breaches are investigated
  • To attend meetings and such training/personal development courses

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Qualified or working towards a formal qualification such as Cisco CCNP
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge and experience of managing maintaining and upgrading networks
  • Knowledge and experience of securing networks against threats
  • Customer focused approach
  • Understanding of ITIL and ISO 27001 (desirable)
  • Ability to work in a methodical and logical manner to co-ordinate and plan workloads with due regard for changing priorities.
