Overview:

An evolving financial planning practice with a focus on hgh net worth clients based in Sheffield is now looking to recruit a capable and experienced Financial Planning Administrator to join them as a Trainee Paraplanner.

Main Duties:

The key purpose of the role will be to work collaboratively with Paraplanners and Advisers to ensure both their portfolios of private and corporate clients receive an exceptional level of service within FCA and TCF framework and principles.

Initially you will handle new business processing of complex pensions and intricate investment, along with protection and life, actioning renewals and putting onto risk.

You will obtain illustrations, valuations, place business, complete administration for reviews and act as a referral point for client queries.

You will be trained up on analysis and comparisons of funds and providers, carrying out research and creation of bespoke suitability reports. This will be a gradual process and the reports you work on will become increasingly complex and inticate in nature as you develop your abilities, knowledge and qualification.

A competitive salary will be on offer depending on experience, qualifications and performance at interview. Full study support will be provided to the successful candidate should they wish to acquire the Diploma in Financial Planning and beyond. Full training in the paraplanning aspects of the role will be provided to the successful candidate. The top end of the salary quoted will only be awarded to candidates who require minimal training in the technical aspects of the role.

Key Skills:

In order to be considered for the role of IFA Administrator/ Trainee Paraplanner, candidates must come from a similar background, ideally having worked in a financial planning practice carrying out administration. A good level of education is a must, as is a CV with minimal job hops.

You must have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, attention to detail and accuracy as the norm. You will ideally hold an understanding of pensions, investments and protection from an administration point of view and hold a genuine interest in forging a long-term career within regulated financial services.

Drive and determination to learn new ideas and concepts quickly is a must for this role.
