Title:Capex BuyerCompany:Ipsen Biopharm LtdJob Description:We are currently recruiting for a Capex Buyer to join our Purchasing Team. This position is permanent, based at our Wrexham site and reports directly to the Purchasing manager.Ipsen is a rapidly growing global biopharmaceutical company focused on innovation and specialty care with sales growth of 21.1% which in turn is supporting strong investment into the Ipsen Wrexham site. Ipsen aim to make a sustainable difference by significantly improving patients' health and quality of life through differentiated and innovative medicines in oncology, neurosciences and rare diseases. At Ipsen Wrexham, we focus on neurosciences and support 'end to end' Biopharmaceutical Development from Discovery, through Development, to Commercial Manufacture; a unique breadth within the UK. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in a similar Buying role with Capex management and be able to demonstrate full lifecycle management of procurement projects and achieving TCO savings. In addition, they will be CIPs qualified or at least working towards CIPs Graduate Diploma.Main Duties & Responsibilities The Capex Buyer will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement requirements for Capex and Maintenance are carried out in an efficient, ethical and effective manner and establishing, communicating and implementing a Sourcing Strategy in alignment with Business stakeholders, strategies that delivers added value to the business.Further duties will include:Professionally negotiate best value prices, lead times and contract terms for the company for goods and services as allocated by stakeholders, either alone or supervised depending on value or criticality.Manage and maintain strategic partnership, through common goals, understanding capacity, constraints and opportunities for innovation through effective SRM.Manage / review the performance of suppliers though the contact life cycle.Resolve primarily pre-commit vendor queries and any performance issues.Manage Suppliers risk by increasing supply robustness in insuring de-risking plans.Where spend/service dictates, ensure robust agreements are in place, liaising with Legal to ensure compliance with policy and processes.Ensure supplier spend reports and ad-hoc reports produced, when requested by the Procurement Manager.Focus on TCO of all projects, in keeping with the business 5-year plan and goals on sustainability.Skills, Experience & Education:Must have at least 5 years of experience working in a Buying role, having covered or covering the scope of spend required.Demonstrated experience of delivering end to end projects and achieving TCO savings.Demonstrated experience of operating in a Project Management capacity, leading the delivery of Procurement projects.Knowledge of commercial Procurement procedures and practices including negotiations and contract law.Completed CIPs Graduate Diploma or working towards CIPs Graduate DiplomaTo all agencies: please no phone calls or emails to any employee of Ipsen in relation to this opening.
