About the role: Wells & Co are currently going through an exciting Business Change programme bringing in opportunities for Significant Expansion in our Pubs Division as well as building a new state of the art Brewery in Bedford. This role is responsible for completing month end processes and reporting for our Pub Partner Division which currently stands at over 170 pubs in the estate. This role will also be responsible for presenting the monthly performance to our Exec team, carrying out variance analysis, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and will have Business Partnering responsibility with the Head of Pub Partners. Key areas of responsibility include: The timely and accurate production of the Management Accounts with all Balance Sheet reconciliations completed with the relevant supporting paperwork and commentary Presenting the monthly performance to our Exec team with detailed explanations for variances to Budgets and Previous Year performance Business Partnering support to our Retail Development Management team Providing support to all aspects of the business along with the Commercial Management Accountant Providing Pricing Analysis, issuing credits where necessary Sales analysis and insight at both a site and category level Calculation of annual retros Updating records and charges for changes in our Pub Partner businesses Ownership of the Budgeting and Forecasting process Development of the in-house reporting system What we are looking for: An individual currently studying toward a recognised Accountancy Qualification with similar experience Strong attention to detail and be confident in communicating with non-finance colleagues and the board. A "can do" attitude excited about being a part of a changing and evolving culture Highly organised and methodical in delivering a service with a high level of attention to detail Advanced Excel skills; including but not limited to pivot tables, sum-if functions and lookups!
