Secondary School in Chorley looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to start late September

Your new School
This vibrant Secondary School now has a vacancy for an experienced and determined Teaching Assistant to support SEN students across KS4 on a 1:1 basis, dealing with a diverse range of Special Education Needs including ASD, ADHD, EBD and other such learning difficulties. You will be joining this friendly team late October working 5 days per week, with this contract running to a permanent contract. The role requires some 1:1 working with Maths

Your new role
As a KS4 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting SEN students on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage with their work and further using learning strategies to support their learning process. You will occasionally support students on a group basis, guiding an class-based activities and assisting the teacher with with day-to-day classes.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful within this role, you will require experience supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 or group level, demonstrating some experience developing learning strategies to support specific learning requirements. You will ideally hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification, however this is by no means a requirement for the job. You will be friendly and approachable, and you will be keen to support students. You will be confident helping students with Maths
