Our client, a small independent Nursery in Central London, is looking for a well-qualified Nursery Assistant to join their thriving nursery.

The nursery is a well-regarded independent organisation, offering a first class education for boys and girls from ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age. The nursery was set up in 1973 by a group of local parents, to provide high-quality early education in the area. It was originally run in a parent's home and then following various fund-raising schemes, the current nursery building was purchased. The nursery has a strong sense of community where parents value the nursery's warm, welcoming environment and their knowledge of every child as an individual. The children are taught in small classes and the nursery place a high value on pastoral care.

The school are now looking for a fully qualified Nursery Assistant to join them on a part time, permanent basis. The role of Nursery Assistant requires assisting a small class of children, ranging from the ages of 2 ½ to 5 years. Nursery Assistant applicants should have experience as a classroom assistant and have a Level 3 qualification. The candidate should have the ability to observe the children's play closely and understand the interests and needs of each child and of the group. The successful Nursery Assistant applicant will be able to provide individualised learning and ensure that the lessons are enjoyable, creative and hands-on. The Nursery Assistant will also have the ability to encourage the children's ability in the core skills of reading, writing and maths.

The role is full time; 8:15am - 1:30pm 5 days a week and Friday a full day if possible.

If you do have the relevant requirements and would like to be considered for this opportunity please send through your CV, or call Katie at Connaught for more information. Please also note that candidates will be invited to interview as and when the applicant's CV is received - we are not waiting until the close of the advert to shortlist.
