As Senior Account Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for some of this marketing agency's key accounts that are prestigious, market leaders in their field. This organisation would ideally like someone that has previous agency experience however you'll also be considered if you have an in-house only background.

Initially this role will cover maternity leave, and while not guaranteed, there's a good chance this position will continue after this initial period. With that in mind, you'll be someone who's comfortable with the idea of being with the team for the long term, if the opportunity arose. For the right person, there's the option of this being a four day a week role too.

You'll be working for a well-established, Exeter based agency that provides their clients with the full-service offering that covers digital and traditional marketing channels. There are no direct line management responsibilities, however as you'd expect, you will be managing and co-ordinating internal teams in order to deliver your clients' marketing campaigns or when pitching for new business. In addition, you'll be someone who's happy to get hands on with delivery too when it's super-busy, so it goes without saying that you'll have a good understanding of how to implement different marketing campaigns.

What this organisation's really keen to see is someone who has the ability to add commercial value to the clients they manage. You'll often be leading client meetings at board level and be someone who's able to look objectively at their plans, challenge them if necessary and suggest thought through, credible alternatives when required. In other words, they're looking for a real strategic thinker, who's able to command respect from the clients they work with.

You'll be managing the client's budget and while making sure it's delivering a great return on investment, you'll also be making sure it's profitable for the agency too.

The organisation is looking at this position to have a January start date, to allow enough time for a detailed handover.
