A City based Lloyd's Underwriting Group, to assist in the underwriting administration and analysis of the Property Treaty portfolio. You will have A level/graduate or similar level education , Insurance Market experience (12-30 months) or with advanced IT skills, particularly Excel. Candidates will need to be able to work in a team environment, have good interpersonal skills, being nicely confident, have the ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise.

Salary - £29-34k

An involved role working as an integral part of the Property Treaty Team. This role requires the ability to respond quickly to incoming requests, managing the demands of both internal and external clients. Prioritisation, attention to detail and organisational skills are paramount. The successful candidate will enjoy performing in a support role, viewing success in terms of the broader team. Technical support is readily available from other assistants and underwriters, however the aim is for the Assistant to develop sufficient knowledge of underwriting issues and internal systems to require limited input from others.

Assisting the underwriters with the underwriting and pricing of Property Treaty business. This will involve working through underwriting submissions, formatting and loading underwriting data onto rating models and running initial pricing calculations; and will also, importantly, include developing a full understanding of all pricing models used by the team;

Underwriting administration including uploading/reflecting underwriter's notes and rating onto the underwriting system and gaining a strong understanding of all aspects of our underwriting system;

Providing box cover, including photocopying and scanning, dealing with queries and PC-based work for the underwriters when needed;

Assisting with the analysis and research of the portfolio including liaising with the Loss Modelling team;

Assisting in researching project work and developing management reports for the Chief Underwriting Officer;

Assisting in preparation of travel packs for client marketing;

Assisting with regulatory reports and ad-hoc reports, as and when required;

Assisting with ad-hoc queries from operations and liaising with brokers to resolve them.
