Fabric Developer - 3-month FTC - interviews slots immediately available!

A Fabric Developer is required for a cutting-edge luxury brand in London.

Reporting to the Design Director, you will be responsible for managing the collections fabrics design, development and supply as per the Design team's instruction - ensuring you remain on brand and on budget.

As Fabric Developer your role will include:

*Developing all cloth for Pre and show collections across Menswear and Womenswear lines (6 collections)
*Work closely with the design team to be able to offer ideas and inspiration on fabrics and development and propose creative translations to mood board images.
*Working across pre and show trying to establish core fabrics across the seasons/collections- hitting target price points and quality.
*In conjunction with the Designers and PD agree the fabric development calendar for each season and be accountable for delivering key actions within the development critical path
*Research and development of new fabric concepts and technologies
*Experience with embellishments, embroidery, print and suppliers on all areas
*Be accountable for the raw material budget
*Responsible for ensuring all fabric and trims are developed to targeted deadlines with the desired aesthetic
*Responsible for labelling and monitoring collection fabrics selection with the Atelier
*Supervise fabrics development, order and delivery with the help of an intern
*Liaison with the Production Department, Studio, Merchandising and Atelier
*Develop effective working relationships with mills, vendors and internal departments
*Travel to fabric fairs - Milano Unica & Premiere Vision
*Accountable for tracking developments to ensure deliveries are on time
*Enter all raw materials in RLM ahead of the PD inputting costings
*Accountable for all the information entered in RLM
*Management of the Junior Fabric Developer and Junior Print Designer.

This is a great opportunity for a senior level Fabric Developer to join a highly creative and commercial brand. You will not only be responsible for developing new textiles, but also revitalising continuity lines.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role with a luxury background. You will have a strong creative eye, be highly commercial and have the ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.

Please note this role is a fixed term contract for 3 months with an ASAP start date. Interviews are taking place now.
