Payroll Supervisor - Sale - Permanent - £28-30K (negotiable dependent on experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor to work for a national business based in Sale. This role would particularly suit candidates with experience of managing the payroll for a very large businesses.

  • Ensure contractors are paid on time every week in this business critical function
  • Accurate setup of contractor and client details
  • Timely maintenance of contractor and client details
  • Accurate and timely capture timesheet data
  • Accurate weekly reporting on contractor payroll and billing
  • Analyse weekly reports as per company policies
  • Approve and review weekly task lists as complete
  • Assist in managing standard, specialised and self-bill payrolls.
  • Maintain all payroll policies and procedures documentation as necessary
  • Keeping abreast of legislative changes affecting payroll compliance
  • Analyse and report on financial data and distribute to Directors/Managers as and when required
  • Calculate funds required to pay HMRC and notify the accounts department accordingly
  • Assist with tax year end returns and related tasks
  • Control advances for contractors
  • Respond to contractor and direct staff queries as necessary
  • Exporting data from front office system to pay & bill system
  • Process payments involved via the BACS/Faster payment software
  • Assist with strategic initiatives
  • Any other duties as and when required
