Are you a level 3 teaching assistant with strong behaviour management skills? Do you have experience supporting children on a one to one basis? Are you looking for a new opportunity?

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 teaching assistant who has experience in primary schools as well as strong behaviour management skills. You will be required to support a child within their year 3 classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be able to provide a safe environment, support learning through specialised one to one work and encourage the child to get the best from themselves, if this interests you, we would love to hear from you.

The school is a successful primary based in Blackpool. They have inclusive approach and provide opportunities for all children. The senior leadership team and SENCO will be looking to work with the candidate in their role to ensure stability and continuity.

  • To support a year 3 child on a one to one basis during the school day
  • Manage behaviour effectively within school policies
  • Ensure that the child is aware of expectations
  • Work with the child to understand the work set and what is needed to complete it to the best of their ability
  • To encourage children to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress and development
  • Set behaviour targets
  • Build a stable relationship between the school and the child

  • Experience of working with children within the primary school setting
  • Be trained to a minimum of a Level 3 teaching assistant
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • An enthusiastic attitude towards working with children and the initiative to support the class teacher where needed
  • The patience and passion for looking after children and developing their education

  • Supporting and nurturing young children throughout their education
  • Support from an exciting network of Blackpool primary schools
  • Ongoing support from your consultant and school
  • Access to CPD
