Peripatetic Registered Nurse - RGN/ RMN/ RNLD - Covering Sheffield Homes

£1500 welcome bonus*

Shifts - Flexibility needed for days and nights across multiple homes.

42 hours per week

£36,456.42 per annum, based on 38.5 paid hours - equivalent to £18.21 per hour, with excellent progression opportunities.

At Exemplar Health Care, we provide specialist nursing care for adults with complex needs. We provide our care in an environment where people can feel at home, which allows our service users to have more choice about the type of care they receive.

As a Peripatetic Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our homes in Leeds and Castleford, you will bring your expertise and be able to dive into a number of complex care situations, supporting the on-site nurses and taking instruction from the unit managers and clinical nurse managers. Due to the varied nature of each home, every day will be different with no service the same out of the 5 you will work in.

Flexibility will be key to this role being able to adapt to the different homes quickly and being able to support on days and nights as required.

You will be paid travel expenses at a rate of 40p per mile from your closest Exemplar home to ensure you are not financially impacted for your flexibility.

What do we ask of you?
  • You will be a registered nurse RGN, RMN or RNLD and will have a valid NMC pin.
  • You will have a good level of experience in complex care, including but not limited to, Mental Health, challenging behaviour, neuro disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism, spinal injury, and high dependency nursing.
  • You will provide warmth, enthusiasm, and compassion when providing care to our service users.
  • You will always strive to provide great quality holistic care, making every day better than the last; promoting our core values: maintaining independence and dignity to our service users.
  • You will be a team player, demonstrating outstanding communication skills and will be able to demonstrate effective teamwork as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • You'll be up to date with current evidence-based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC Standards and Regulations and will work using your initiative making effective decisions to improve care quality.
  • Experience of Mentorship and a supervisor qualification would be desirable but are not essential

Longley Park View - S5 7JZ - Having gone through a complete refurb in 2018 to improve communal areas, Longley Park View is a 59-bed specialist nursing home, focusing primarily on complex care needs for Mental Ill health, Dementia and Challenging behaviour.

Willowbeck - S4 8AR - Currently 80 beds and 7 units, the individual layout of this home means that we can care for various conditions, from mental ill-health, dementia, and challenging behaviour, to spinal injury, brain injury and stroke, Huntington's and Parkinson's disease and more. The home is split between the upstairs units which cares for mental health and downstairs which has more clinical needs such as tracheostomy care.
