        Why EDF Renewables?

We're one of the UK's leading renewable energy companies, specialising in wind power and battery storage technology.

We develop, build, operate and maintain wind farms and other renewable technologies throughout their lifetime. We own 35 wind farms - including two offshore wind farms - and one of the largest operational battery storage units in Europe.

Customers need new low carbon electricity to be affordable - our innovation is driving costs down, for example our Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Project which has used float and submerge technology on the foundations, 66 kV electrical connection cables and 8.3 MW turbines - all firsts in offshore wind. We are also looking at the future of onshore wind using the most modern and efficient turbines to make this technology as low cost as possible. The increase in wind and solar power poses new challenges for the grid, that's why we have built the UK's largest battery storage at West Burton B to help balance supply and ensure reliability for customers.

The basis of our success is our people. We have an engaged, enthusiastic and dedicated team in an organisation that encourages agile, flexible and dynamic working. The willingness of the team to pull together to meet challenges is the source of our momentum. Whether you're working in the operational environment on site, or in one of our support functions in an office, we value the contribution each person makes.

We have sites all over the UK, so working at EDF Renewables could take you from the Scottish borders down to Northamptonshire! Head office staff work at our main office in Edinburgh.

"I enjoy working for EDF Renewables because we are a dynamic organisation operating at the forefront of renewable technology, and I enjoy the opportunity and exposure this brings within my role. I am proud to work for a company striving to make a difference to how we create energy and look after the planet.
