Job Purpose

A key member of the Business Controls Director team within Aldermore's COO function - the Contract Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and evolution of the Banks third party risk management framework. This role will have an overview of the de-centralised supplier management team, ensuring third party risk is mitigated with suppliers managed in a consistent and effective way which adheres to the relevant rules and regulations. This is s first line role reporting into the Governance and Controls Manager within the Chief Operating Office.

Key Accountabilities

Developing and driving the direction of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) strategy, including Framework and Policy in line with the regulatory guidelines
Mature the Banks TPRM process to create an efficient and effective process to be applied across the supplier portfolio in a consistent approach
Ensure the management of the suppliers follows the banks policies and process in an auditable way
Create a Supplier Relationship Owner community, providing both support/training to the SROs as well as challenge in the management and reporting of suppliers. Including the inductions and support material for new Supplier Relationship Owners
Maintain frequent engagement with Supplier Relationship Owners and other TPRM stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to TPRMThe Person

Proven experience directly managing third party suppliers
Experience in covering multiple product lines and functions, within Financial Service would be beneficial
Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to develop internal and external business relationships
Ability to build and manage complex relationships across a wide stakeholder community
Understanding of the complete supplier lifecycle from Sourcing to Managing to TerminationThe Rewards
