Salary: £26,224 to £28,400 per annum, dependent on relevant experience and qualifications

Hours: 40 per week working 8:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

I am recruiting for an SEN Teacher for an esteemed client in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. This wonderful residential school provides holistic education for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Role and responsibilities:

Identify specific individual needs and interests of your students
Plan and deliver an appropriate curriculum to all pupils in your class, following the ethos of the school
Provide effective teaching and a therapeutic, safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment
Encourage pupils to build positive and appropriate relationships with peers and adults
Facilitate learning in a wide range of settings, including the classroom, craft sessions, swimming and outdoor break times
Plan for and manage occurrences of challenging behaviour (in line with individual student plans)Benefits for you:

Experience working as a teacher within either an SEN or mainstream educational setting
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject
