Trampoline Coach | Oak Tree Leisure Centre

Location: Mansfield, NG18 3RT

Hours: 4 hours per week, Tues and Thurs 5 -7pm

Salary: £12.85 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are currently recruiting for a Trampoline Coach to work the hours and days stated above at Oak Tree Leisure centre.

As part of Mansfield District Leisure Trust, Oak Tree Leisure Centre offers a wide range of facilities and activities, from gym memberships and badminton, to trampolining and gymnastics for children. And we've got a crèche!

Key Purpose

To deliver Trampoline sessions to participants of ages 6yrs and over who attend Oak Tree Leisure Centre

Key Duties:

To plan and deliver a varied and interesting programme of sport specific activity as directed by the Children's Activity Co-ordinator.
Ensure that coaching sessions are suitably planned and developed for all people including those less able or with specific needs.
Implement appropriate Health and Safety policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe, effective, child friendly environment at all sessions.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of those attending sessions and to ensure that these are regularly passed on to the Children's Activity Co-ordinator.
Undertake regular programme evaluation (i.e. Participant progression) as directed by the Children's Activity Co-ordinator.
Maintain current knowledge of Governing Body and other relevant agency's programmes, policies, guidance and advice.
Committed to continuous professional development (CPD) relevant to the post.
Attend meetings as and when required/directed.
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.

Qualification/Experience Level:

Basic first aid for sports coaches (or equivalent) trained or a willingness to undertake this training before commencing activity.
Previous experience of coaching a variety of different age groups and abilities.
Previous experience of delivering in a variety of settings including sports clubs and leisure centres.
Trampoline coaching certificate- essential qualification (recognised with British gymnastics) Level 2 required
Excellent communication skills and good organisational ability
Ability to encourage increased participation and work with a range of abilities
